Why You’ll Love This Recipe

This cocktail is versatile and crowd‑friendly. A few reasons it’s perfect for holiday entertaining:

  • You can make it by the pitcher for a crowd or mix individual servings — quantities for both are in the recipe card.
  • Serve it on the rocks or frozen. The blended version is frosty and festive even in winter.
  • You control the sweetness. Simple syrup is optional—start without it and add to taste if needed.

What You’ll Need

  • Tequila — a good-quality silver (blanco) tequila works best; avoid the very cheapest bottles.
  • Triple sec or Cointreau — orange‑flavored liqueur.
  • Cranberry juice.
  • Fresh lime juice.
  • Simple syrup (optional).
  • Ice.
  • Fresh cranberries and rosemary sprigs for garnish.

How To Make A Mistletoe Margarita

  1. For a pitcher: stir together tequila, triple sec, cranberry juice and lime juice until well blended. For single servings: add the same ingredients to a shaker filled with ice, shake and strain. Taste and add simple syrup if you prefer a sweeter cocktail.
  2. Pour into glasses filled with ice. Garnish with fresh cranberries, a rosemary sprig and lime wedges.

How To Sugar The Rim Of The Glass

  1. Cut a fresh lime slice.
  2. Run the lime around the rim of the glass to moisten it.
  3. Pour sugar into a shallow dish slightly wider than the glass opening.
  4. Dip the moistened rim in sugar so it sticks. Use a pitcher (or careful pouring) when filling the glass to keep the rim intact.

How To Make Frozen Margaritas

For frozen margaritas, add the ingredients to a blender with 3–4 cups of ice and blend until frosty and slushy. Pour into prepared glasses and garnish as desired.
