Cheesy Garlic Bread “Cinnamon” Rolls

If you follow my blog, you know I’m terrible at remembering to buy bread on grocery trips. Sometimes my kids forget to write it down and other times I forget to check the list before leaving. Over the years I’ve built a large collection of bread recipes to rely on when a loaf is missing.

Many of those recipes were developed out of necessity—because spaghetti really needs garlic bread and Thanksgiving feels incomplete without buttery rolls. I keep a whole index card box full of go-to bread recipes.

Before we moved to Phoenix I baked most of our bread from scratch and loved it. The heat here made me turn the oven on less often, and over time I just stopped baking as much. After a recent trip to Kansas Wheat I felt inspired to start baking again.

On that visit I learned about wheat varieties, harvesting, and how wheat products are used to make bread. I appreciated the passion and time the hosts spent showing us the process, and the trip rekindled my desire to bake more often.

I used Red Star Platinum Yeast for consistent, professional results. If you haven’t tried it, look for it next time you shop—it’s simple to use and produces reliable dough.
