Honey Mustard Sauce
This honey mustard sauce is silky, sticky, and flavorful — perfect for chicken, pork, vegetables, or even drizzling over roasted asparagus. It combines whole grain mustard, yellow mustard, honey and garlic with a touch of thickener so it clings and caramelizes during baking.
- 2 tbsps Whole Grain mustard
- 2 tbsps Yellow mustard
- 1/4 cup Honey
- 1 Garlic clove, minced
- 1 tsp Cornstarch (omit or replace for keto)
- 1/3 tsp Onion powder
Whisk ingredients together, adjust salt and pepper to taste, then pour over meat, fish, or vegetables and bake until golden and sticky.
Instant Pot Chicken Drumsticks
If you need dinner faster, this sauce works well in an Instant Pot. Use the same sauce and follow the pressure-cooking method from the Instant Pot BBQ chicken legs approach: it reduces hands-on time and cooks even frozen drumsticks quickly while keeping them moist. Finish under the broiler or in a hot oven briefly to caramelize the glaze.

Air Fryer Chicken Drumsticks
This recipe adapts easily to an air fryer for a faster, crispy finish. Coat the drumsticks with the honey mustard sauce and air-fry at a high temperature until the skin is golden and cooked through. For best results, reserve part of the glaze for basting during cooking so the outside becomes sticky and caramelized without burning.
The sauce is versatile — try it with different air fryer methods and adjust timing to your appliance and drumstick size.

Crunchy Baked Chicken Drumsticks
To get extra-crispy drumsticks, reserve half the glaze. Bake partway, then transfer drumsticks to a wire cooling rack placed over a baking sheet so air can circulate around each piece. This prevents sogginess from pooled juices.
Flip the drumsticks every 10 minutes and brush with the reserved glaze each time to build up a sticky, golden coating. Use heat-resistant silicone tongs and a silicone brush to avoid tearing the skin. Repeat until the glaze is used and the drumsticks are crisp and cooked through.
