Creamy Mild-Stuffed Pasta Salad with Flavorful Cheese Sticks

I love a cold pasta salad — it’s perfect as a side or a satisfying lunch on its own. The kids especially enjoy D’Orsogna Mild Tasty Sticks; they’re as tasty as the name promises. While the boys will happily eat them straight from the packet, I turned them into a quick meal you can prepare in under five minutes if you have leftover chilled pasta, or if you cook pasta in the morning and refrigerate it until mealtime.

With just five ingredients, five minutes, and five simple steps, this dish is easy to make and sure to become a family favorite.

Ingredients

4 D’Orsogna Mild Tasty Sticks (8 per packet)
2 cups cooked spiral pasta
2 tbsp basil pesto
8 cherry tomatoes, halved
8 cherry bocconcini, halved

Serves 2 — double the ingredients for a larger family portion.

Method

1. Cook the spiral pasta according to the packet instructions. Drain and transfer to a bowl to chill in the refrigerator. (You can also serve this warm if preferred.)

2. Stir the basil pesto through the cooled pasta until evenly coated.

3. Add the halved cherry tomatoes and bocconcini to the bowl.

4. Slice the D’Orsogna Mild Tasty Sticks on a slight angle for an attractive presentation, then add them to the pasta mixture.

5. Gently mix all ingredients to combine and serve immediately or keep chilled until ready to eat.

This recipe makes two servings; double the quantities for a family-sized portion. The bite-sized ingredients also make it an ideal lunchbox option for kids and adults alike.
