Here’s a fresh addition to holiday decorating: a Fish Bowl Snowman Christmas craft that’s simply charming. Each bowl becomes a tiny Christmas scene. I found all the supplies at the craft store, including the fish bowls. For step-by-step visual guidance, watch the video included in this post.

Fish Bowl Snowman
The holidays mean bringing out decorations and adding festive touches around the home. This DIY fish bowl snowman is a delightful and simple project that looks impressive on a mantel, shelf, or table. It’s one of those crafts guests will ask about — and it’s easy to personalize. I first spotted the idea on Pinterest and decided to try my own version.

Supplies:
- Three stackable fish bowls in different sizes (available at craft stores or dollar stores).
- Mini snow village decorations (houses, trees, figurines).
- One bag of artificial snow or snow flocking.
- Two sheets of black craft foam for the top hat.
- Scissors.
- Christmas ribbon to trim the top hat.
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks.

Instructions:
Create a cozy scene inside each bowl by arranging miniature village pieces and adding a layer of fake snow. A small house with a flameless candle inside adds a warm glow and looks lovely both day and night. Stack the bowls from largest to smallest to form the snowman shape, leaving the smallest bowl at the top for the head.

To make the snowman’s top hat, trace a circle on black craft foam slightly larger than the opening of the top bowl. Cut that circle and then cut a rectangle from the foam to form the hat’s cylinder. Roll the rectangle into a cylinder and secure the seam with hot glue. Cut a smaller circle for the top of the hat and glue it in place. Finish by wrapping a festive ribbon around the hat brim and gluing it on.

This project is a lovely way to involve family and friends in seasonal decorating. Each bowl can tell a small part of a story — a house with a glowing candle, a tiny tree, or a figurine on a snowy hill. Stack them together and the result is a unique, handcrafted snowman that adds charm to any room. Ask for help when cutting or using hot glue, and customize your scenes with different miniature pieces or lighting to suit your style.
