I scored these lobster tails for just $5 each — a steal compared with restaurant prices. With only ten minutes of active time, you can have a restaurant-worthy meal at home.

If you haven’t tried Tony’s Cajun seasoning, give it a shot — it’s my go-to Cajun blend and easy to find in most supermarkets. I also use it in other recipes, like my Cajun broil foil packs.

Start by preheating your oven to the broil setting. Then cut down the top and bottom of the lobster shell so you can loosen the meat from the shell with your fingers. Once freed, lift the lobster meat and rest it on top of the shell so it cooks evenly and presents nicely.

Spread butter evenly over each tail — you can melt the butter first and brush it on for easier coverage — then sprinkle Tony’s Cajun seasoning over the tops. Place the prepared tails on a baking sheet and transfer to the oven.

The lobster tails I used were about 4 oz each and baked for 8 minutes under the broiler, which was perfect. Some people recommend one minute per ounce, but that can leave the meat undercooked. If you’re unsure, make a small cut into the tail — cooked lobster is opaque white all the way through and not translucent.

Serve with melted butter and a squeeze of fresh lemon for dipping. Simple sides like a light salad or steamed vegetables complement the lobster without overpowering it.
